Singular Time is a Fusion album that explores the the infinite possibilities of compound rhythms. I love to improvise and play in complex rhythmic formats such as 7/8 5/8 3/4 6/8 11/8 etc as opposed to the traditional 4/4 this allows for more time and extended phrases. Like many songs of mine "Samba 7" is a tune based on Brazilian music in an unusual 7/4 form. "Greco's Waltz" is dedicated to my beautiful Alaskan Malamute I had for 12 years. I gave him the name because of the blue of his eyes and how it reminded me of the painter El Greco. Arab Song is a complex sequence of 6 scales given to me by a well known pianist in Paris. He asked me to write a tune with one of them so I wrote a song with all of them! Raga is a complex tune dedicated to India, a country that has always fascinated me especially for the allure it has on western countries.
