Nestor is an accomplished saxophonist, composer, and educator with a deep passion for live music. He believes that music is an essential force for human growth, connecting people to themselves, to others, and to the divine. His artistry transcends political, economic, and religious barriers, uniting audiences worldwide.
With an extensive international career, Nestor has performed hundreds of concerts across the globe, including for President Bill Clinton and First Lady Michelle Obama. He has also dedicated much of his work to bringing music to underprivileged communities, using his performances to promote social justice, democracy, and cultural unity.
A versatile musician, Nestor composes and performs in Jazz, Classical, Fusion, World Music, and Latin Jazz. He is also recognized as one of the most proficient EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) players, pushing creative boundaries with his unique sonic explorations.
Nestor has performed across Italy, France, Spain, South America, and the United States, captivating audiences with his powerful and expressive sound. His deep conviction is that music has the power to create meaningful change in the world—it is not just an art form but a universal language that bridges divides.
As an educator, Nestor has played a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of musicians. He studied at the New School of Jazz, Manhattan School of Music, and Miami Dade College. He also served as Director of the Jazz Department at the National Conservatory of Ecuador and led the Classical Saxophone Program at the same institution.
An avid composer, Nestor has written over 400 original pieces, blending musical influences from around the world. His compositions reflect a deep appreciation for cultural diversity, seamlessly fusing global elements into innovative and captivating works.
