Let's Play is an album of original compositions inspired by the traditional Jazz of the Bebop and Post-bop Era. As a student I was particularly drawn to this period of Jazz, especially because of the complexity of the music and the virtuosity of the soloists.
The Harmonic progressions and rhythm are very similar to those used by Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Coltrane and others. I tried to keep true to the spirit of bebop while at the same time contribute with my own approach to improvisation.
