Really Down is an original jazz composition infused with the raw edge and drive of rock fusion. The piece carries an emotional weight, moving between intensity and reflection, capturing that inner space where struggle transforms into energy and expression.

On this track, I perform both alto saxophone and electronic wind controller, using the EWI to record every instrument, including the iconic Hammond B3 organ. The result is a layered, dynamic soundscape where jazz phrasing meets rock attitude, and lyrical melodies ride over bold harmonies and a driving groove.

Every element of this composition—from writing and arranging to performance, recording, and mixing—was created by me. Really Down is a personal statement, turning emotion into motion and channeling depth into sound.
